Spider Clamhole Quad

The inspiration of this artwork came from several artists whom I had the honor to work with at various art museums around Los Angeles. I would typically be consulted for lighting that was to be included within the scope of the artwork itself. For instance, one artist would ask for colored bars arranged in spectral order to be shot onto a hanging cutain. Sounds kind of easy, but when you consider the many requested factors that go into this one effort (fixture weight, hanging structure, color saturation, beam shape, intensity, hours of operation, sequence firing), it wasn't as simple as hanging a video projector. So my job was to figure out how to make their vision come to life.
