Chocolate Strawberry Farina

Well it's time for breakfast and the same question usually pops up... What should you have? Well, you could have a cold bowl of sugary cereal that's been sitting in the cabinet for months, or you could have some gourmet cooking. Hmmm, that's a tough decision...

As an artist, I find that art is not limited to my canvas... and food art is not limited to dinner. Good food comes from the heart and end up in the stomach... in a roundabout sort of way.

This is a meal that will not only taste amazing, but keep you energized through your active day. This recipe is enough for two people, so make it accordingly.

Ingredients -
- 1.5 cups Water
- 1/3 cup Wheat Farina - can also be "Cream of Wheat", "Malt-o Meal", or "Bob's Red Mill, Creamy Wheat Hot Cereal".
- 1 oz Dark Chocolate - I prefer "Green and Black's Organic 85% Dark" (really good stuff)
- 10 Strawberries - Sliced into small pieces (That's based on medium sized berries. If they're large berries then add enough for taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon - Pure, fine ground - Any type of cinnamon will work, but Ceylon is healthier for you.
- 1/2 cup Walnuts - Chopped into small pieces
- Maple Syrup - Pure, real maple - This is only for sweetening and is not necessary. Just sweeten to taste.

Farina - Preparation

Instructions for preparation -

1) Place the water in a pot and bring it to a boil.
2) Turn off the flame and add the farina. Stir as you go.
3) Add the chocolate and stir until it's completely melted into the recipe.
4) Add the cinnamon and stir it into the mix.
5) Add the strawberries and the walnuts and then stir into the mix.
6) Add the maple as you feel is necessary and stir it in. Taste the mix first and then add the maple to see the change in sweetness. Caution when tasting because the mix is probably still quite hot.
Additionally, the strawberries can be replaced in this recipe for a banana, pitted cherries or even blackberry jam.
